Every season needs a family adventure! We took the littlest one (my nephew) to Butler’s Orchard for some blueberry picking this past weekend. He’s quite the helper, you know. And his 3-foot stature is super advantageous when you’re towards the end of the season and you’re on the hunt for the low-hanging, middle of the bush berries that were missed by all those who came to the pick-your-own fields before you.
To be honest, I’m not even sure if he likes blueberries. But he definitely picked most of the pound we got!
With a little guidance from Grandma, he was off and running (literally). And as much as we tried to explain why it wasn’t a good idea to slam dunk the berries in the container, he insisted on showing off his basketball skills. Thankfully, they weren’t too smushed even after he got through with them.
